James 5:16b – The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Club Leader Gene Parks shared a story with us about a young man in Grace Hardeman Elementary in Watauga, Texas.

Hardeman Beach Club^® had a friend, whom we will call Billy. You see, Billy wasn’t attending Beach Club^®. And according to Gene, his friend wanted Billy to come, but apparently, Billy’s mother was hesitant to let him be a part of the club.

After learning about God in his club, the boy realized that he needed to ask God for some help in getting his friend Billy to join in the fun! So when he was asked to write down any prayer requests he might have, the boy simply wrote:

 “My friend Billy because his mom won’t let him come.”

We know, as we read in James 5, that the prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much!

And guess what? God heard that prayer and Gene reported that Billy’s mom had filled out a registration form to allow Billy to attend Beach Club^®!

Gene wrote, “TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Great things are happening at Beach Club^®!” Great things, indeed!
